Front Mission 1st Remake Game Review

The world’s wars are won by massive war machines referred to as Wanzers by 2090. Huffman Island is the location of there is an Oceania Cooperative Union, (O.C.U.), can be located. Huffman Island is the only island where the Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.) as well as the Unified Continental States are allowed to live together. The land boundary between the Continental United States (U.C.S.) and Canada is one of the areas of significant conflict.

An O.C.U. reconnaissance platoon headed by Captain Royd Clive is tasked to look into the activities of a U.C.S. munitions plant. It is the U.C.S. attack them. They are surrounded by U.C.S. Wanzers. The incident triggers a series of events that plunge whole island into war. Royd’s fiancee, Lieutenant Karen Meure, goes missing in action.

Discharged from the military, Royd begins to look into the events that took place to Karen. He finds himself closer to the truth and those who are responsible.

With dozens of characters to meet, its mature story, and non-Manichean protagonists, Front Mission is one of the best examples of a tactical Japanese RPG that is finally being made widely available.
